BOOK IT Class Detail – User Manual

This manual explains how to use the Class Detail page inside the BookIt Premium platform.
This page allows administrators to define recurring class schedules, including:

Class start and end dates
Weekly repetition
Skip‑week patterns
Class size
Waitlist options
Daily class times
Active/inactive days

This is the main interface for building structured class schedules.

Summary

The Class Detail page provides a complete interface for creating and managing recurring class schedules.
It supports adding classes, editing class details, generating weekly schedules, editing daily class times, deleting classes, and tracking changes — all with built‑in safety checks.

Use this page to define when, how often, and for how long each class runs.

Overview

The Class Detail page allows you to:

Select a class service
Add new class schedules
Edit existing class schedules
Delete class schedules
Generate weekly class days
Set class start and end dates
Set number of weeks
Set skip‑week patterns
Set class size
Enable/disable waitlist
Edit daily class times
Track changes (added, updated, deleted)

The page loads client information, services, and control messages automatically when opened.

Page Initialization

When the page loads:

The system retrieves the logged‑in member.
The member’s ID becomes the clientId.
Client data, app settings, and control messages are loaded.
The Class Detail table is cleared.
Services are loaded into the dropdown.
The Add button is disabled until a service is selected.

Selecting a Class Service

Before you can add or edit class schedules:

Steps

Open the Services dropdown.
Select a class service.
The Class Detail table loads all schedules for that service.

Viewing Class Schedules

Once a service is selected:

The table shows each class schedule:
Active status
Class size
Waitlist enabled
Skip weeks
Start date
End date
Number of weeks

Dates are displayed in a friendly format (e.g., Jan 12, 2026).

Adding a Class Schedule

Steps

Select a service.
Click Add.
The edit panel opens.
Enter:
Active (checkbox)
Class size

Skip weeks
Start date
Number of weeks
Click Create Weeks to generate weekly class days.
Click Save to save the class schedule.

Start Date & Number of Weeks

Start Date

When selected, the system automatically moves the date to Monday.
This ensures weekly schedules always begin on a Monday.

Number of Weeks

Determines how many weeks the class runs.
End date is automatically calculated (Start Date + Number of Weeks × 7 days).

Skip Weeks

Skip Weeks allows you to skip repeating weekly patterns.

Example:

Skip Weeks = 0 → every week
Skip Weeks = 1 → every other week
Skip Weeks = 2 → every third week

This is useful for alternating class schedules.

Creating Weekly Class Days

Click Create Weeks to generate daily rows for each week.

What is generated

For each week, the system creates rows for:

Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday

Each row includes:

Editing Daily Class Times
